On Monday, May 25th, the consortium formed by the University of Bucharest (Contractor/ Coordinator), the Military Technical Academy “Ferdinand I” (Partner 1) and Nextgen Software (Partner 2) organized the dissemination event dedicated to the results of two R&D projects funded through UEFISCDI, with a combined budget of approximately EUR 1.5 million.
The event brought together dozens of participants from the consortium entities, the project beneficiary, as well as other institutions and organizations with a strong interest in the applicability of these solutions.
🎙️ A technical, applied and collaborative presentation format
Among the team coordinators who took the floor were Mr. Paul Irofti, representing the University of Bucharest, Mrs. Luciana Morogan and Mr. Ion Bica, Dean of the Military Technical Academy “Ferdinand I” and Mr. Vlad Gladin, representing Nextgen Software.
They were joined in the presentations by many members directly involved in the projects - researchers, master’s students, PhD candidates and cybersecurity professionals. The presentations, demonstrations and Q&A sessions highlighted the real need for collaboration between academia, applied research and the technology industry.
🧠 LEGAT – Advanced AI-based information system for identifying and extracting entities from unstructured data collections Project: PN-IV-P6-6.3-SOL-2024-0090. Funder: UEFISCDI
LEGAT supports the analysis of large collections of unstructured documents by automatically extracting entities, relationships and coreferences. The solution can reduce document analysis time from hours to minutes, provides multilingual support, enables advanced search, visual mapping of connections and AI model retraining based on human feedback. The application is highly customizable and can be adapted for beneficiaries requiring document intelligence, decision-support capabilities and intelligent data processing.
