LEGAT
LEGAT – Advanced AI-based information system for identifying and extracting entities from unstructured data collections is **developed by Nextgen Software within a Consortium coordinated by the University of Bucharest, with the Military Technical Academy “Ferdinand I” as project partner**. Built for civil security environments, LEGAT transforms large volumes of unstructured multilingual data into structured, searchable and decision-ready intelligence by extracting entities, relationships, coreferences and document topics from text documents, PDFs and HTML files.
The challenge
Security-relevant information is often scattered across large collections of unstructured content, in multiple languages and formats.
Manual analysis is slow, difficult to scale and resource-intensive. LEGAT addresses this challenge by enabling faster, more consistent extraction of relevant information across datasets in Romanian, English, French, Russian and Hungarian.
